If you’re like me, you love to eat. I’m an omnivore and like all kinds of foods, either locally produced or from around the world. I’m not so great, though, when it comes to cooking for myself.
I recently took the plunge and became one of those people who order from a home delivery service (HDS) for food. And now I’m a believer; I’ve had a really good experience with it, although I realize it may not be a choice for everyone. But here are some arguments for you to ponder that might lead you to consider giving home delivery service a try:
1.) Depending on which service you choose, you can get just about any diet needs or preferences satisfied. The offerings usually cover a range of dietary choices to suit the customer. These include Paleo, vegetarian, vegan, gluten free, “mainly meat”, and organic.
2.) The time you save on shopping, meal planning, and cooking from scratch is significant.
3.) Wasted food, such as uneaten leftovers, can be reduced.
4.) If the food company you pick is reputable—and there seem to be new ones popping up every day—your choice of foods and consumption of HDS meals can have a good effect on your overall health and nutrition.

The number-one factor in your all-around health is what you eat. Research has shown that what, when, and how much you eat has an 80-percent influence on your health. It’s especially true for those of us interested in losing weight.
But for many of us, the topic of healthy eating can be fraught with emotional bias, cultural influence, or simply not having enough time or knowledge to get a handle on our own nutritional requirements. Those things can get in the way of decision-making when it comes to food.
What’s absolutely clear, though, is that consistent consumption of healthy, whole, “clean” foods (foods not over-processed or manufactured with additives or preservatives), is a big deal.
I don’t promote any particular HDS companies. This is relatively new territory for me, so I would actually love to hear about your experiences with any of them. But I will go this far: if you want to eliminate the guesswork, the necessary prepping of meals, or endless food shopping, one of these food service programs may be just the ticket. And a healthy one!
